Unity Park In Greenville South Carolina

The bridge work at the park all ties in with the Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail and will ultimately be a significant part of it. They’re looking to possibly hold a week’s worth of activities leading up to the grand opening when everything in the park is finally open. They’re hoping mild, pleasant weather will greet Unity Park when it’s time to open.

Location: Park will stretch from the A.J. Whittenberg Elementary School of Engineering on the southeastern edge to the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks

Why the name? The park used to be a symbol of segregation; now city leaders want a place that brings in everyone.
